Hiking Mt. Rainier

Today we went to Mt. Rainier.  I had a chance to use my new hiking/trekking poles.

This is such a beautiful place. I felt at times that I could go on forever.

I recently bought trekking poles because of a suggestion from my son-in-law's friend, Kevin. I tell you, I think I will use them anytime I have to walk a distance. Neither my knees nor my ankle hurt once and this was all uphill going and downhill coming back.  I did fall once.  If it had not been for Gene, I would have kept sliding. We took Paradise Trail that unfortunately has the most people because it is accessed through the visitors center.

We got there early so there was very few people but coming back, the path was packed.  I fell trying to go down a steep incline to get around some people.

I will stop talking and show you how beautiful it was.

Lynn takes bear with her everywhere. I think he liked Mt. Rainier.

When we got back to the parking lot, Lynn suggested we go to the inn. What a beautiful place.

Lovely pictures but way too cold looking for summer.
